THE CHARACTER OF THE SISTER AND CHARACTER OF THE MOTHER IN WORKS OF ANĐELIJA AND LAZA LAZAREVIĆ
Abstract
The work deals with female characters in the stories of Anđelija Lazarević ‘The borough in the mountain’ and ‘The wanderings’ and female characters in the stories ‘The wind’ and ‘German girl’ by Laza Lazarević. The characters of mothers and sisters in the works of Anđelija Lazarevic and Laza Lazarević are compared, which points to the idea of women, first of all the idea of a mother and sister which has one daughter and her father. It is shown that there are certain similarities in the character description, but there are more differences. The character of the mother is presented more negative by authoress than by her father, but it is not completely deprived of negative elements. The character of the sister in the works of Laza Lazarević is not dominant but in works of Andjelija Lazarević it has an important place in the realization of the main action.
