Abstract
Diminutive, as it seems, is a linguistic universal, and because of that, it can be analyzed in genetically and typologically unrelated languages such as Hungarian and Serbian. The purpose of this study is to discuss the ways of creating diminutive forms in those two languages, as well as how they function and how we use them.
